Forrest Gump ruined my life.
You may be asking yourself 'HOW?', well I'll answer that riddle for you.

Just because my name is Jenni, does not in any way link me to the character from the movie Forrest Gump.
Yes, I realize that we have the same name.
Yes, I realize that you may think this is a HUGE coincidence...

It's not.
Jennifer is a popular name.
Or at least it was when I was born.

I really don't appreciate people going around yelling "I LURVE YEW JENNAY!"
No.
Just no.
I'm soooooo sick of.
Maybe it was cute the first couple times, but after awhile, everyone says.

I'm not even joking when I say that after I meet someone, and upon knowing my name, they either get this goofy smile on their face, or they sit there pondering as if thinking where "Jenni" sounds familiar.
And then when it hits me I just hear "Jennnai!"

This is irritating.
We're not the same person.
No, my parents did not name me after her.
That, in fact, is impossible seeing as though I was born before the movie was made...I think.
Lord, I hope so.


Please don't address me the same way Forrest addresses Jenny.
It's annoying.

And it makes me want to punt a kitten into a building.
